Dr_LibbyThis inaugural weekend was such a great success last year that we have decided to create another one for you to enjoy over the winter during a fabulous two-night stay at Huka Lodge.

We have invited some expert presenters to share with you all their specialist knowledge and passion, for their given areas of practice.

A highlight of the event is sure to be the ‘Optimal Health’ workshop presented by the celebrated nutritional biochemist Dr Libby Weaver. Sydney-based Dr Libby is a dynamic and highly experienced presenter, with a natural ability to break down even the most complex of concepts into readily accessible information.

Dr Libby’s health messages are globally relevant, which is why audiences embrace her holistic approach and unique form of education across the world. Armed with abundant knowledge, scientific research and a true desire to help others see their own light and beauty, Dr Libby empowers and inspires people to take charge of their health and happiness.

She is also the number one bestselling author of Accidentally Overweight, Rushing Woman’s Syndrome, Real Food Chef, Beauty from the Inside Out and Real Food Kitchen.

Hartfield_Jewellers_Margaret_RebeccaAnother tremendous addition to the weekend will be the presence of Margaret Foley and her daughter Rebecca Foley of Hartfield Jewellers in Parnell, Auckland. They will showcase their selection from the latest collections of their exclusive European brands. Margaret and Rebecca will also be giving you valuable insight into the latest trends affecting the design of jewellery and how it is being worn in the style capitals of the world.

Margaret Foley, owner of Hartfield Jewellers, Parnell for over 30 years; has established long partnerships with international jewellery brands, including Chaumet and Pasquale Bruni, sold exclusively in New Zealand by Hartfield. Her daughter Rebecca practised finance law in England, Hong Kong and New York before returning to New Zealand to join Margaret at Hartfield.

Liens_ceramic_heart_BlackChaumet is France’s oldest jewellery house, most famous for having been Napoleon’s jeweller, while Pasquale Bruni is a family-owned Italian high-end jeweller, producing creative and feminine designs.

A Winemakers’ Dinner showcases Kevin Judd’s superb Greywacke wines from Marlborough. Kevin Judd is one of Marlborough’s pioneer winemakers whose career is intrinsically linked with the global profile of New Zealand wine. Kevin was born in England and grew up in Australia, where he studied winemaking at Roseworthy College and first made wine at Reynella in South Australia.

He moved to New Zealand in 1983 and joined Selaks Wines. Subsequently, he became the founding winemaker at Cloudy Bay, a pivotal role during which he directed the company’s first 25 vintages. In 2009 he established his own label, Greywacke, named after New Zealand’s prolific bedrock.

Greywacke_WinesThe Greywacke portfolio is primarily based on two varieties, sauvignon blanc and pinot noir, the sauvignon blanc being produced in two distinctly different styles. In addition to this core range of three wines, there are also limited edition releases of chardonnay, and three aromatic varieties – pinot gris, riesling and gewurztraminer.

Executive Chef, Paul Froggatt presents a cooking demonstration, which leads on to casual lunch for guests, with one of the dishes featured in the demonstration on the menu. Recipes will be provided.

Aston Martin is passionate about the cars it produces and we know this is a feeling also shared by their enthusiastic owners. All of their sports cars continue to be hand-built and bespoke while also embracing the use of high technology processes. This ethos goes right back to 1914 and the very beginnings of the company when founders, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, believed that a sports car should have a distinctive and individual character. They felt it should be built to the highest standards and be exhilarating to drive and own.

An Aston Martin combines three important elements: power, beauty and soul. Aston Martins are truly special – they always have been and always will be. Take the opportunity to test-drive one Aston Martin’s latest model cars during the weekend and see all this for yourself.

All included within the normal tariff, with the exception of the lunch with Paul Froggatt.
