Biking adventures & great lake trail rides – Nga Haerenga

A range of private excursions are available as listed below, to showcase the wonderful scenery, bush and natural beauty of Lake Taupo and its environs. They are designed to suit the individual fitness levels and interests of our guests – tailored to suit the novice rider wishing to enjoy a leisurely ride, through to those ready for the challenge of the odd hill or two. Though not listed here, rides are also available for experienced riders at a high level of fitness, so please contact Reception to find out more about these.

Guests will be provided with late-model, front suspension bikes, helmets and water. Please bring your own sunglasses, sun hat, sun screen, sturdy footwear and swimsuit.

We really do recommend the use of a qualified guide, for their knowledge of the tracks and the area, for safety reasons and for any running repairs on bikes that may be needed on the day.

Beach or boat picnics are also an option – they will require a little more time and may be best suited to the warmer months, however these are available if requested.
