Chocolate to die for – Saturday, 13 May 2017

Head Chocolatier, George Havlik, of Bohemein Fresh Chocolates will be visiting Huka Lodge over Mother’s Day weekend to share his skill and his passion for the fine art of chocolate making.

With George’s tutored guidance, during a one-hour demonstration, you will learn how to identify and appreciate all the true characteristics of the chocolate – the look, the smell, texture and taste, – all of which embody what defines a truly superior chocolate. You can also try a chocolate martini during pre-dinner drinks.

George Havlik

George was born in the Czech Republic and fell in love with chocolate when he was just 12 years-old. This passion grew as George pursued a career as a Pastry Chef in his homeland.

George arrived in New Zealand in late 1999 when his career path drew him to a role as Pastry Chef at the Duxton Hotel, Wellington.

In 2005, George fulfilled his lifelong dream to work exclusively with chocolate when he opened Bohemein Fresh Chocolates in Wellington. George, along with his carefully selected and trained team, bring his vision of the highest quality chocolates to reality in their Miramar workshop. Using the freshest, natural ingredients, (no artificial flavours or preservatives), Bohemein create intensely flavoured, sensationally superior chocolates.

The quality of George’s Bohemein chocolates have been recognised by two Cuisine Artisan Awards and a New Zealand Food Award.

This event is presented with our compliments, at no additional cost beyond the normal rate.
