A new concept for over the autumn-winter months. We bring you a complimentary series of evening speakers who will engage with you for approximately one hour in an informal and intimate way, about subjects that they are uniquely well versed in, and very knowledgeable about.

Te Ori has experienced a unique upbringing steeped in the rich history and ancestry of his Maori heritage – the Ngati Tuwharetoa tribe (Taupo) and the Tuhoe tribe (Te Urewera). Te Ori shares some of his unique philosophy and cultural beliefs during this time with guests.

Huka Lodge Sommelier, Jasper, leads a tutored Gin Tasting Experience in the Wine Cellar. Jasper will focus his lively presentation on the look, taste, fragrance and complexity of our finest New Zealand boutique gins.

Simon is well placed with his role in family business Chris Jolly Outdoors, to talk about the art of fly-fishing – past and present, including Alan Pye and Huka Lodge’s heritage and place in the world of fly-fishing.

Time spent with this New Zealand artist and raconteur is always entertaining and Dick’s work as an anti-traditionalist has always poked fun, in his ironic and very humorous way, at the intellectualism of  ‘high art’.

Our Executive Chef, Paul Froggatt, will present a cooking demonstration for a dish you will be able to create at home in your own kitchen. Paul shares tips, secrets and interesting stories while displaying his wonderful culinary skills.
