Competition Terms and Conditions:

  1. The promoter is: Huka Lodge and Coast New Zealand

  2. The competition is open to residents of New Zealand, except employees of Huka Lodge and Coast New Zealand and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. 

  3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  4. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

  5. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

  6. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: Book any of Huka Lodges Lifestyle Packages during the 01 September - 30 September 2019 for stays from 01 September - 31 November 2019 and you will go in the draw to WIN a set of Coast New Zealand Blend Beanbags.

  7. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

  8.  Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  10. You are providing your information to Huka Lodge and Coast New Zealand and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at for marketing purposes. 


Huka Lodge Terms and Conditions on bookings: 

  • 15% Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applicable on all rates.

  • Inclusions: Pre-dinner drinks and canapés, a five-course dinner (menu changes daily), accommodation and full country breakfast. Use of all Lodge facilities and return Taupo Airport transfers are included.

  • Check-in is at 2pm, check-out at 11am.

  • Rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars and charged on a per person, per night basis.

  • Rates are subject to confirmation at the time of reservation.

  • Between 20 December - 05 January, a minimum stay of two nights is required. With the exception of the Owner's Cottage and Alan Pye Cottage where a minimum three-night stay is required.

  • Guests wishing to stay on Christmas Day will need to check-in prior to, or on 24 December as we will not be having either arrivals or departures on 25 December (Christmas Day). 

  • A festive season surcharge of NZ$400 + GST per person, per night applies on 24 December (Christmas Eve), 26 December (Boxing Day), 31 December (New Year's Eve) and 01 January (New Year's Day). Festive season includes gifts, performances and entertainment, party decorations, French Champagne and fine wines, gourmet lunches and gala dinners, excursions and activities. 

  • Children five years and under stay free of charge, when staying with their parents in the same suite. Only one child permitted per suite.

  • Rates for children and for the use of Single Connecting Ensuites, are available on request.


  • Cancellations made between 90-31 days prior to arrival will incur a transaction fee of NZ$250.00
  • Cancellations made between 30-7 days prior to arrival incur a 50% cancellation fee for each night cancelled.
  • Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to arrival, and ‘no shows’ all incur a 100% cancellation fee for each night cancelled.
