Exclusive Rotorua adventure day
An epic day out in nearby Rotorua this exclusive itinerary will see you undertake some highlights of New Zealand’s best adventure activities.
We start the day with your personal guide picking you up from Huka Lodge for your transfer, by private vehicle, to Rotorua.
We start the days’ adventures with mountain bike riding – strap on the latest Bell helmets and set off on full suspension Giant mountain bikes exploring the famous trails in Whakarewarewa Forest. We spend the next 1 ½ hours on a selection of the 150km purpose-designed mountain bike trails that comprise this unique adventure playground. With trails suitable for riders at every level everyone’s needs can be met.
We now set off by road to Okawa Bay for an exciting adrenaline-filled 45-minute rafting trip down the Kaituna River, home of the world’s highest commercially rated waterfall, Tutea. At 7 metres tall this is white water adventure at its very best.
This adventure is only available for children 13 years or older, accompanied by an adult.
Next, we rejoin our vehicle for a short journey to Lake Rotoiti, where we embark on a private charter on your 53ft. luxury catamaran.
Having worked up an appetite, enjoy a gourmet barbecue lunch, while sailing on the clean, clear waters of the lake. Soak in the therapeutic thermal waters of hot pools only accessible by boat on the shores of the lake before setting off in the early evening, for the journey by road back to the Lodge.
Includes: personal guide, private vehicle transfers, use of mountain bikes, helmets, exclusive rafting excursion, with helmets and safety equipment supplied, exclusive catamaran cruise with lunch and entry fees.
A fun day to view Maori culture and unique thermal activity. There are many major attractions to choose from including; Whakarewarewa, Rainbow Springs, the Buried Village, Agrodome Farm Show, beautiful gardens, art galleries, hot natural thermal pools, sheep-shearing demonstrations and wildlife experiences. For lunch, enjoy fine food and a scenic setting at a beautiful lake near Rotorua. Rotorua is situated one-hour by car, from Taupo.

Take a trip to the ‘Napa Valley’ of New Zealand on the east coast of the North Island. A full-day is needed to visit this rich and fertile land where you can taste some of their award-winning wines, lunch at a vineyard or visit the city of Napier, which has become the Art Deco capital of the world, due to the redevelopment in 1931 following an earthquake.
You can walk or travel by vehicle to see the gannets at Cape Kidnappers or visit artists and antique shops.
