White Water Rafting – Grade 5
The Tutea Falls on Kaituna (Okere) River, Rotorua, is the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall, at an almighty 7 meters. There is plenty of time to build up anticipation, and practice your newly acquired skills in the rapids with two smaller waterfalls before the big drop.
On average around 1 boat in 20 will flip upside down at the bottom of the big waterfall, however all the major rapids are followed by calm water, so there is time to get the boat back upright and get everyone back in. Safety is paramount, our expert guides have been riding these rapids for many years, and they still love every minute of this thrilling experience!
This trip is suitable for all active people 13 years and older. An adult must accompany children under the age of 16. Allow 1 hour 15mins to get to the base and then a further 2-2.5 hours for the excursion. (45-50 mins in the water - swimwear and a towel are required)
- Winter – 10am & 2pm
- NZ $105.00 per person (prices may vary depending on operator used)
All prices quoted above are inclusive of a 15% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
